Local journalist and author Jeff Hampton tells the stories of the wild horses of Corolla.and their protectors. A herd of wild horses has roamed the Currituck Outer Banks for nearly five hundred years. In the last four decades the area has changed dramatically, with a boom in tourism bringing increased visitors and more traffic.
