Der Epistemische Wert Von Wissen Aus Zweiter Hand
Is second-hand knowledge as valuable as firsthand knowledge? This book argues that pro tanto it is epistemically deficient. The function of the concept of second-hand knowledge is to mark knowledge that has been acquired from a different epistemic standpoint. The possessor of second-hand knowledge lacks domain-specific evidence and is epistemically dependent on the possessor of firsthand knowledge.
