Andrew J Dagg served in the British Royal Engineers Corps before embarking on a second career as a registered nurse. Emigrating to Australia in 1997, Andrew held several senior health management roles in rural New South Wales before moving to Victoria in 2016. Andrew completed an MA in military history at the University of Wolverhampton, UK, specialising in pre-Federation Victorian defence. He is Vice President of the Fort Queenscliff Heritage Association, Australia, and presented at the Australian Chief of Army Conference 2023.Bob Marmion has had a lifelong interest in Australian military history. He studied at university as a mature student before eventually completing a PhD in Victorian military history at the University of Melbourne, Australia. Bob has been a member of the Professional Historians Association of Victoria since 2008. He has had a long association with Fort Queenscliff; he is the Secretary of the Fort Queenscliff Heritage Association Inc, Australia, and is involved in the Fort's heritage, education and training programs.
