Raevyn Renee's debut novel explores the idea that love can blossom even among the most difficult of circumstances in the hood. Riley has been doing her best to raise her cousin Mikayla, even allowing some of her desires to fall by the wayside to make sure Mikayla is okay. Her love life is practically nonexistent, and there are times she doesn't know whether she's coming or going.
