World War I was a defining event in Canadian history. World War I recounts Canada's involvement in the war that engulfed the world, including incidents leading to the war, key events and people, and the aftermath. The Canada at War series explores the role Canadians have played in armed conflicts around the world. Each book in the series looks at the causes and outcomes of a different conflict as well as the Canada's involvement in the event.
