Caryl Hart is a full-time children's writer, who enjoys running creative events and workshops at schools, libraries and festivals. She is the author of numerous picture books, including: Girls Can Do Anything; Together We Can!; There's a Monster in My Fridge; Whiffy Wilson, One Shoe Two Shoes; Big Box Little Box; Simon Says Sorry!; and many more. Caryl lives in Sheffield, England with her husband and two daughters and a dog called Roo. She studied Illustration at Falmouth University, where she graduated with a 1st Class BA (Hons) and was Highly Commended for the Macmillan Children's Book Prize in 2013 and 2014. She has worked on concept art and character designs for animation and advertising and her books have been translated into over twenty languages.
Briony's picture books include A Practical Present for Philippa Pheasant, The Mermaid Moon, Margaret's Unicorn, and Imelda and the Goblin King. She has also illustrated picture and early chapter books for numerous authors, including Little Bear's Spring and Little Goose's Autumn by Elli Woollard (Macmillan Children's Books), and many more. She now lives in Devon, where she is constantly inspired by her rural surroundings and beautiful coastline.
