Ruth has been a keen writer since receiving a scratch and smell sticker in school for her story Danika the Dinosaur. This was soon followed by Paddington fan fiction and a 'chapter' book called Gone with the Wind with only two chapters. Ruth lives with her family on Wadawurrung Country in Victoria. When she's not writing she is working as a primary school teacher, watching musicals and eating lots of lemon slice. Aleksandra Szmidt is an illustrator whose books include Grandma Hugs, Daddy Cuddles, Mommy Snuggles, and You Were Worth the Wait.
