Devon Boorman is the Co-Founder and Director of AcademieDuello Centre for Swordplay, which has been active in Vancouver,Canada since 2004. Devon's expertise centres on the Italianswordplay tradition including the arts of the Renaissance Italianrapier, sidesword, and longsword, as well as knife and unarmedtechniques. He has won international competitions, taughtworkshops and seminars throughout the world on both the studyand practice of historical techniques and on practical combatimplementation. Devon is actively involved in the translation,interpretation, and revival of Western Martial Arts from survivinghistorical manuals, some of which are on display at his school.
