The classic bright yellow taxicab is easily one of the most recognizable vehicles in the world and is one automobile that will forever be associated with the USA.  The Check Cab Manufacturing Company was founded in 1922 and mainly built taxis from 1923.  Sales of the cab steadily declined and the last Checker taxi was built on 12th July 1982.
