A small format guide featuring 50 of the most seek-worthy wines in BC-- Sparkling, White, Rosé, Red, Dessert. All BC wines, all under $50 a bottle, all have bottle shots. Co-author of the Okanagan Wine Tour Guide with John Schreiner (TouchWood Editions, 2020). John Schreiner is the most prolific wine writer and reviewer in Canada, and Luke was hand picked by John to carry on his impressive legacy of regional wine tour guides. Sipster is a play on hipster: this guide is casual, not at all snooty, and is meant to be an entry point into the wine world. It abandons the usual language of tasting notes in favour of a more personalized, approachable style, focusing on experiences, good company, and where a wine might take your thoughts. Like getting a wine recommendation from a well-informed friend. Each wine has an "Attitude" and pairing guide.

As an example, Noble Ridge's THE ONE is for a joyful attitude, pairing with bright flavoured foods, pasta with fresh herbs, and listening to your favourite music. There is no focus on the wineries themselves or on a particular year or vintage, so as long as the wines are in production the book will be up-to-date. The intention is that this will be the first of a series. Each new book in the series will feature 50 entirely new BC wines. Each edition will have a limited print run, but the new books in the series will not make the previous books irrelevant.
