I have two passions in my life - Tarot and Art. Both have been an integral part of my life personally and professionally for over 30 years, so far. Through both of these mediums I have learned much about myself and what makes up life. I've written a couple of other books which I have not published. The first book I wrote in 1996. At this time, I endeavoured to write out a lot of my philosophical learnings in an attempt to find myself. This resulted in a book called Truths. A few years after this I wrote, and illustrated, a children's book which was fun.

I think these endeavours were good practice for me. They definitely saw writing become a big part of my everyday expression.I've been captivated by the Tarot for most of my adult life. I read professionally for many years on www.psychic.com.au under the name Gem. My writings about Tarot are a culmination of lots of study, and practice.

For years I emersed myself in the old Golden Dawn classic texts. I put the information into practice during my readings for others. During this time, I felt as though the Tarot itself was reaching out to me. I started writing everything down in 2011. Soon after I began writing, I felt driven to paint my own images. I painted 120 artworks in the course of this process which took me about one year. The painting of my own deck seemed to heighten my connection to the Tarot even more. Over the course of time, since I began what has now become the JewelBox Tarot Collection, I have felt as though the Tarot itself, has ultimately taught me how to read the cards! I ask the Tarot to help me with everything in my life.

Sometimes, I just laugh at how it describes things to me! While my books are built upon ancient texts; they contain only my truths about the Tarot - my Jewells. I hope my works will help you find your special connection with the Tarot.
