Widely Produced Play: Following the New York premiere at Signature, The Hot Wing King has been produced by many notable theaters: Studio Theatre in DC (2022), Alliance Theatre in Atlanta (2023), Hartford Stage (2024), Baltimore Center Stage (2024), Writers Theatre in Chicago (2024), The Circuit Playhouse in Memphis (2024), and upcoming productions at the National Theatre in London (2024) and Denver Center for the Performing Arts (2025). Broadway and West End playwright: Hall's play The Mountaintop debuted in London in 2010 and received the 2010 Olivier Award for Best New Play, making Hall the first Black woman in history to win the award. The play then premiered on Broadway in 2011 in a production starring Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett. Tony-Nominated Writer: Hall also wrote the book and was a producer on Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, for which she received two Tony nominations.
