Winner of the 2021 Pulitzer Prize for Drama World premiere production at Signature Theatre: The Hot Wing King premiered Off-Broadway in New York February of 2020. Widely Produced Play: Following the New York premiere at Signature, The Hot Wing King has been produced by many notable theaters: Studio Theatre in DC (2022), Alliance Theatre in Atlanta (2023), Hartford Stage (2024), Baltimore Center Stage (2024), Writers Theatre in Chicago (2024), The Circuit Playhouse in Memphis (2024), and upcoming productions at the National Theatre in London (2024) and Denver Center for the Performing Arts (2025). Broadway and West End playwright: Hall's play The Mountaintop debuted in London in 2010 and received the 2010 Olivier Award for Best New Play, making Hall the first Black woman in history to win the award. The play then premiered on Broadway in 2011 in a production starring Samuel L. Jackson and Angela Bassett. Tony-Nominated Writer: Hall also wrote the book and was a producer on Tina: The Tina Turner Musical, for which she received two Tony nominations. Creator and showrunner of P Valley: In addition to her plays, Hall is also the creator and showrunner of the acclaimed drama P Valley on Starz, which has earned nominations from the GLAAD Media Awards, the Independent Spirit Awards, and the NAACP Image Awards.
