Licia Canton is the author of The Pink House and Other Stories. Her short story collection Almond Wine and Fertility was published in Italy as Vino alla mandorla e fertilità. Her writing has been anthologized internationally. She is also a literary translator and founding editor-in-chief of Accenti Magazine. She has published ten volumes as (co)editor, including two on the internment of Italian Canadians during World War II: Behind Barbed Wire and Beyond Barbed Wire. Other titles include: Antonio D'Alfonso: Essays on His Works, Writing Cultural Difference, Conspicuous Accents, Writing Our Way Home, Reflections on Culture, Writing Beyond History, Adjacencies: Minority Writing in Canada and The Dynamics of Cultural Exchange. She has served on the board of directors of the Quebec Writers' Federation (QWF) and is past-president of the Association of Italian Canadian Writers (AICW). She is an Honorary Fellow at the University of Hull, United Kingdom.

She is the recipient of the Premio Italia nel Mondo and the Premio Donna Veneta. She lives in Montreal.
