The United States Coast Guard Hymn : Ruler of Land and Sea
James Linzey is a great, great grandson of Rev. Jacob Mulford Hall, who served as a chaplain in President George Washington's Army when President Washington signed the Tariff Act, which provided funding for the construction of 10 ships for the Coast Guard. James Linzey felt that a score that matched the majesty of the Navy Hymn would be appropriate. Therefore, he chose "Diademata" by Elvey. The hymn was engraved by Dr. Dan Kreider who is a conductor and composer.
