The increase in technology and the expansion of computers, smart phones, and other mobile devices has changed the investigative playing arena and necessitated the development of techniques for the recovery of evidence from digital devices. While important in the law enforcement mission, these techniques are also used by corporate entities to safeguard the continuity of public services.
