Sc. degree in 1997 in Telecommunication Engineering at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and a Ph.D. degree in 2002 at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain. His research lines are biometrics, biomedical signals and images, data mining, classification system, signal and image processing, machine learning, and environmental intelligence.
