James R. Evans is a Professor in the Department of Quantitative Analysis and Information Systems at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is the author or coauthor of seven books, six software packages, and numerous journal publications, conference proceedings, and presentations. He is a member of the Operations Research Society of America, the Institute of Management Sciences, the Institute of Industrial Engineers, the Decision Sciences Institute, the American Production and Inventory Control Society, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Engineering Management Society, and the American Society for Quality Control. Dr. Evans received the B.S. and M.
S. degrees (1972) in industrial engineering from Purdue University, West Lafayette, Indiana, and the Ph.D. degree (1975) in industrial and systems engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta. Edward Minieka is a Professor in the Information and Decision Sciences Department of the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is the author of numerous articles on optimization algorithms for networks and graphs in various professional journals and is an Associate Editor of Networks. S. degree (1965) in industrial engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, the M.S. degree (1966) in industrial engineering/operations research from Stanford University, California, and the M.Phil. (1969) and Ph.D. (1970) degrees in administrative sciences from Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut.
