Dr. Fangyan Sun is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Windsor, Canada, with a unique academic background in Materials Technology, Nanoscience, and Electrical and Computer Engineering. She earned her B.Sc. degree from the University of Waterloo and her B.Eng. degree from Beijing Jiaotong University (BJTU), both in 2017. In 2022, she successfully completed her Ph.
D. from the University of Waterloo, further deepening her knowledge and expertise in the realm of nanotechnology and its applications. Currently, in collaboration with Stathera, Inc., Dr. Fangyan is delving into research related to Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS). Her research interests are wide-ranging, encompassing graphene derivatives, optoelectronic devices, third-generation photovoltaic and photodetector devices, and micro/nanofabrication. A dedicated advocate for sustainable practices, Dr. Fangyan's work also extends to exploring non-toxic nanomaterials and the role of nanotechnology in sustainable energy.
