Prashanth J is an assistant professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam. He obtained his B.E. (Civil) from Visvesvaraya Technological University, Karnataka, and M.Tech. (Marine Structures) and Ph.D. from the National Institute of Technology Surathkal, Karnataka.
His major areas of research interest include climate change studies, oil spill studies, coastal engineering, and the use of waste materials in civil engineering applications. He has published 20 papers in respected international journals. Dr. Prashanth is a reviewer for many national and international journals. P. S. Choudhury is a professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Silchar, Assam. He obtained his B.
E. (Civil) from Regional Engineering College Silchar, Assam, M.Tech. (Water Resources) from the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, Mumbai, and Ph.D. from the Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal. His major areas of research interest include flood forecasting, rainfall-runoff modeling, water resources engineering, and the use of GIS techniques in civil engineering applications. He has published 24 papers in respected international journals.
D Nagesh Kumar is a professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. He obtained his B.Tech. (Civil) from Nagarjuna University, Andhra Pradesh, M.E. (Water Resources) from Anna University, Madras, and Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore.
His major areas of research interest include climate hydrology, optimization in water resources systems, and the use of remote sensing for irrigation management. He has published 4 books, 6 editorial articles, and 150 papers in respected international journals. Dr. Nagesh received the IBM faculty award in 2012. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Water and Climate Change and an editorial member for many other reputed journals.
