This is the second volume in "Studies in the theoretical physics" sequence that will include: 1. Fundamental Mathematical Methods 2. Advanced Mathematical Methods 3. Classical Mechanics 4. Electricity and Magnetism 5. Quantum Mechanics 6. General Relativity Its objective is to provide the mathematical tools to students majoring in physics or engineering and taking advanced theoretical physics courses that require a solid understanding of Tensor calculus and its application. These courses include General relativity, electromagnetism, fluid dynamics, quantum information theory and quantum field theory, solid mechanics, crystallography, continuum mechanics, plasma physics, and thermodynamics.

Students' success in these courses depends heavily on their mathematical skills in tensor calculus, especially in general relativity.
