Charles Hulme is Professor of Psychology at University College London. Charles has broad research interests in reading, language and memory processes and their development, and is an expert on randomised controlled trials in education. He is a former editor of the journal 'Scientific Studiesof Reading' and is currently a Senior Editor of the Association of Psychological Science's journal, Psychological Science. Sophie Brigstocke is a Lecturer at the Department of Psychology at the University of York. Sophie also works as an educational psychologist and child assessments for learning differences at the small educational assessment clinic which she manages within the department. Sophie has a PhD inPsychology, which she gained under the supervision of Professor Charles Hulme. Sophie's research interests include typical and atypical development of arithmetic, language, literacy, particularly in children with genetic disorders. Kristina Moll is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, Psychosomatics, and Psychotherapy, at Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich.


Her research interests are in typical and atypical development of language, literacy and arithmetic skills and therelationship between different developmental disorders. Kristina is also interested in cross-linguistic research, comparing literacy development in different orthographies.
