Publishing rationale * The evidence-informed movement is big at the moment and students and practitioners are increasingly expected to apply research findings to their practice * This is both topical and timely as it will help them to understand why and how to do evidence-informed practice * It will be relevant across applied courses and so it should sell in good numbers * The authors are based at Birmingham which has a great reputation in applied research * Nicki did an exemplary job leading on The Ethics of Care book and Nathan has co-authored a related text for Palgrave. I trust them to do an excellent job with this Unique selling point: a much stronger practice focus (including case studies, figures and diagrams) and more critical approach in comparison with competitors.
