Mohamed H. Hassan is a Post-Graduate Faculty member of the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection & Immunity, of Harvard University, School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA, and a Post-Graduate Faculty Affiliate of the Department of Periodontology, Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA where he has developed and taught courses on the effects of occlusion on the periodontium. Dr. Hassan graduated as a Bachelor of Dental Medicine and Surgery (with honors) from Alexandria University, School of Dental Medicine, Alexandria, Egypt. He continued his training at Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine, Boston, MA, where he completed a Fellowship in Craniomandibular Disorders, earned a Masters of Dental Science (with a thesis on the destructive effect of nocturnal parafunction activities on teeth, periodontium, temporomandibular joints, and muscles of mastication), a Doctorate of Dental Medicine, and a Certificate of Periodontology. Dr. Hassan has extensive experience as a periodontist, implantologist, and TMJ specialist and lectures nationally and internationally on these topics and their relation to other systemic medical conditions. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists.
