Kelsey M. Latimer, PhD, is a licensed lead psychologist in the Center for Pediatric Eating Disorders (CPEDS) of Children¿s Health/Children¿s Medical Center Plano. She works in all levels of care, including inpatient and partial hospitalization and leads the intensive outpatient program. Dr. Latimer created the foundation of the therapeutic programming at CPEDS using the sociocultural model of eating disorders. Ariane Smith Mach¿ PhD, is a Clinical and Sport Psychologist, Professor, Business Mentor, and Mom of Three. She is a member of the United States Olympic Committee Sport Psychology Registry, is a Peer Reviewer for the Journal of Academic Psychiatry, serves as the Chair of the Public Interest Committee for the Division 47 (Sport and Exercise Psychology) of the American Psychological Association, and writes for The Huffington Post. Sonia Schwalen, PhD, is a psychologist at the the Center for Pediatric Eating Disorders at Children¿s Health Plano and is an Assistant Professor in Psychiatry at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Beyond patient care, Dr. Schwalen provides supervision to practicum students and postdoctoral fellows, participates in program development, and is part of the leadership team on unit. Her primary areas of research include the spectrum of pediatric eating disorders (e.g., anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and obesity), linking systems of care for parents and families, and issues in supervision. Heather Krol, PhD, is a Psychology Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Pediatric Eating Disorders at Children¿s Medical Center in Plano, Texas. She specializes in working with children and adolescents with eating disorders, as well as with comorbid mood and anxiety disorders and issues with trauma and identity development.
