Robert Young (www.realwriting.us) is the author of 29 books for children. Topics for his books reflect his many interests and curiosities, including history, collecting, baseball, and chewing gum. His books include: Lobo: The Hunted and the Hunter, a graphic novel about one of America's first conservationists; The Magic of A.C. Gilbert, a picture book biography of a famous man most people have never heard of; Chomp! A Chewer's Guide to Gum, an updated version of his Chewing Gum Book, published in 1989 and the first book on the topic for children; and Moving Targets, a middle-grade novel that focuses on the timely topic of bullying. When not writing, Robert enjoys swimming, hiking, and traveling to schools to make Author Visits.

Originally from the east coast, Robert now lives in the Rogue Valley of southern Oregon, near the birds, trails, and water he loves.
