Dr Mohamed Elchalakani is Associate Professor and the Director of the Structural Laboratory at UWA. He is the author of 2 important books "Single Skin and Double Skin Concrete Filled Tubular Structures-Analysis and Design" published in 2021 and "Geopolmer Concrete Structures with Steel and FRP Reinforcements-Anaysis and Design" in press both published by Elsevier. He is a committee member of Australian Standard BD 023-structural steel. He is listed in Stanford University current list of the top 2% scientists in the world where he is ranked in the top 0.7% among academics in Civil Engineering worldwide. He also received the prestigious Japanese Society for Promotion of Science Fellowship. His total research funds today is in excess of $1.5m from competitive grants, consutlting, and industry funded projects.
