This report highlights a decline in the small-ruminant population, especially in Albania. Despite this, Albania remains a leading milk producer and consumer of mutton and goat meat. The main findings emphasize disparities in farm management practices across countries; the challenges faced by farmers, such as limited labour and low product prices; and the need for direct support measures in the region.
