James Sullivan is used to expensive clothes and the latest games consoles, but when his mother sends him to Auntie Maureen's house to stay over the summer, he gets more than he bargained for. More than the antique kettle, gramophone or lack of Internet access, James discovers his Aunt and Uncle keep a secret so strange, so incredible, it has consequences for the whole world.
