This book was written in the hopes that it will comfort children during grief. It is a beautiful, rhyming story about friendship and loss. Rose is the eldest flower, and Bud is the newest to the bunch. Rose teaches Bud all about the circle of flowers, life and the weather. She wants Bud to see the good in everything so that he will attract the good. And she uses the weather to help Bud cope and not feel alone when her last petal falls.
