Rebecca Woods has always been fascinated with history and often wondered how people in the olden days survived their environments. Then, one winter, she packed up her children, left the modern comforts of home, paved streets, and neighborhoods and moved with her husband to an ancient farm in the Midwest.In an 1870's cottage, at 10 below zero, and without any comfort of running water, they all learned first hand the adventure of truly roughing it. At times, with hoot owls calling from the trees and wolves howling in the distance, it was much like the times in which historical novels are set. In her spare time, Rebecca enjoys mowing pastures, playing with horses, and laughing as much as possible with her family.
