About the Author: After a business career as VP/GM of a multimillion dollar corporation in Boston, the developer of upscale condominiums in the White Mts. of New Hampshire, and the founder of an air purification company in Florida, Barry Wood now 80, is content to tinker with his 23 year old Mercedes, assist in keeping the grounds of his Vero Beach home presentable, and spend evenings on his patio talking golf with Christina, his wife of 34 years. And, of course, there's always the tinkling of ice cubes. Serious writing came late, and Barry approaches it on impulse. Fifteen minutes one day, five or six hours the next. Yet when he is alone, writing is not far from the surface. Whether tinkering with yard work, or awake in bed, he is often mentally visualizing realistic scenes of actual events, or imagining dialogue and interaction between his protagonists and the world around them. The process works.
Read any one of his three novels and you will see why. Barry is a member of the Florida Writers Association.
