Part of the Currency Plays series. A collection of two plays. The first, the satire 'Up for Grabs' (2001), involves Simone Allen, an art dealer given the opportunity to sell a Brett Whiteley painting. Her behaviour becomes less than angelic as the pressure to deliver mounts. The second play, 'Corporate Vibes' (1999) is the story of Sam, a real estate developer and self-made man who gets his way by shouting. When his staff mutiny, he finds himself confronted by, among others, a softly spoken mediator. Includes introductions by John McCallum and Robyn Nevin, playwright's note, and photos. Author is very well known writer for stage, television and film, and has won several AFI awards including those for the scripts of 'Don's Party' (1976) and 'Gallipoli' (1981).
He has also won 11 Australian Writers' Guild AWGIE Awards.
