I've been speaking on this topic for quite a number of years in many different places. People have asked me when I was going to put it in writing, none more so than a fellow trustee of Hope for Justice, Paul Davis, who's asked me every time I've seen him! For this I'm very grateful because it's prompted me to get on with it. Actually, my son-in-law Bruce Marshall had also said a couple of times that I should share whatever wisdom I have with a greater number of people. He may well overestimate my wisdom, but I appreciate the fact that he thinks I've got some! In the early days, I was encouraged to write by Rosh Ravindran, one of my friends in the leadership team of our church plant, Life Church Wilmslow. Obviously my thanks go to my wife, Marion, for bearing with me as I took on the time-consuming activity of writing and encouraging me along the way. I'm also most grateful to Robin Croxon, who helped me to see that writing this was possible and guided me in the process, as well as introducing me to the publisher. That publisher is Malcolm Down and I'm grateful to him and Sarah Griggs for being partners in this and producing the finished article. My greatest joy would be that you would experience a similar transformation in your prayer life to that which has led to this book being written.
