JOHN WHITE began exploring for metal deposits in the western United States after receiving a master's degree from the University of Arizona focused on economic geology. The economic downturn of 1982 led him to relocate to New Mexico where he worked for many years in underground and surface silver, copper, and gold mines. The ups and downs of the mining industry led John to transition to construction in the late 1990's.John has held executive positions in three corporations. Simultaneously, he has served as a City Commissioner, governor'sbusiness advisor, university adjunct professor, as well as other voluntary roles in government, civic, professional, and church organizations. Mr. White's wide-ranging background provides a unique perspective that colors the topics of his writing.Mr.
White presently manages projects including controlled blasting operations for a construction company. He also co-owns and manages a separate restoration business. John and his wife Mabel live in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with three of their six children and five of their seven grandchildren living nearby.
