Warren Watson, 66, has been a journalist for 44 years, writing and editing in 11 states for organizations as large as the St. Petersburg Times and as small as the Somersworth-Berwicks Free Press. He has been an international consultant and teacher at the American Press Institute, University of Missouri, Arizona State University and Ball State University, where he earned a Master¿s degree in journalism in 2008. He is the author of ¿Surviving Journalism: What to Do When Your Career Path Breaks,¿ a Marion Street Press book exploring how changes in the journalism business have disrupted career journalists. He was the editor of the 9-11-inspired ¿Crisis Journalism: A Handbook for Media Response,¿ published by the American Press Institute in 2001.
