William E. Wagner, III, Ph.D., is Associate Professor of Sociology at California State University, Channel Islands. Prior to coming to CSU, Channel Islands, he served as a member of the faculty and Director of the Institute for Social and Community Research at CSUB. He completed his Ph.D. in sociology at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
Dr. Wagner also holds an undergraduate degree in mathematics from St. Mary's College of Maryland. He has published in national and regional scholarly journals on topics such as urban sociology, sports, homophobia, and academic status. Dr. Wagner is co-author of Adventures in Social Research, 7 th Edition (Babbie, Halley, Wagner, & Zaino, 2010).
