When Daniel was born he knew that he was different and needed to use his powers to influence the world toward peace and he did that through his ability to naturally defeat all people not for the greater good of all people. In the military he found that it was possible to tweak the existing operative categories and and implement his own toward world peace and limit nuclear weapons with every nation that will no longer distribute a threat to the world. Even despite a shady background and even taking drugs he was able to achieve greatness for all the world even though there were individuals who helped in the creation of world peace Daniel is in the forefront of every one and started the continuance of peace for for all people which he never received credit for doing. Life in general has always been difficult for him he even tried to leave and have a different life away from society but met Joan who helped him with every day life even taking him to the doctor personally to seek help. Some of this is not in the book it just denotes what the major issue there i s and Daniel was self medicating on alcohol and drugs.
