Nigel Thorley is very well known in the Jaguar fraternity, being one of the founding members of the world's largest Jaguar club, the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club. He was brought up with these cars as his father and elder brother always owned them, and he bought his first Jaguar for the princely sum of just 50 at the age of 18. Since then he has owned more than 70 Jaguars and Daimlers, including 16 Mk2s and a couple of S-types, so he knows these cars intimately, and he still runs a Jaguar as everyday transport. He has written more than 20 books, mainly on the Jaguar marque, and continues to edit the monthly 140-page Jaguar Enthusiast magazine for the Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club, of which he is a director. In addition to Jaguars his other passions are Triumph cars, photography, Rotary and more recently his grandchildren. Nigel lives in Yorkshire with his wife Pauline.
