Chuck Thompson is an author from Bristol, TN. His most recent book, Jasper Lilla and the Hendersonville Rescue, was released in the summer of 2015. It is the second of a three book saga. The final book is on schedule for release at Christmas of 2015. He and his wife attended the Woolly Worm Festival in 2014, and had such a great time that he included it in Book One. Prior to writing this novel featuring Banner Elk, he wrote six mystery novels featuring a female detective from Bristol, TN. All of Chuck's novels are family friendly, and although they often include danger, they are never graphically violent. It is his custom to write about local events and places so that his readers can go to locations they have read about and see what his characters and he saw (often that means eat what he ate).

With the mystery novels, he always writes about places in Bristol, but in each novel, his characters travel to others places like New Orleans, Washington, D.C., Asheville, Weaverville, and Cherokee. He deliberately left the Bristol area for the Jasper series so he could write about different locations. The Jasper Lilla books will features real events and locations around Banner Elk, Boone, Cherokee, and Hendersonville, NC.
