Postcards are my passion, a love and an obsession. These beautiful, colorful antiques bring an early America alive. These solid cardboard treasures reveal the turn of the century in this country. What did America look and feel like over a hundred years ago. For me it started with a purchase of a stamp collection. It included a shoebox of postcards. It was fascinating to see the variety, color and history in that box. Then I was in an souvenir shop in Greenwich Village which had a fantastic collection of old New York City postcards.
I bought over a hundred and the collection began. I then started buying collections and lots of postcards. These findings brought a variety of topics to collect. First Florida, then California, baseball, Lincoln and Washington D.C. Eventually all 50 states, holidays and many topicals. Now the collection is over 200,000. and still growing strong.
I have decided to share my collection with the world and publish it all. Others can enjoy the beauty, passion and emotion that postcards have brought to me. Enjoy this spectacular treasure!.
