The author served 10 years as a law enforcement officer, 23 years as a PADI Openwater Scuba Instructor and 30 years as a private investigator, specializing in Insurance Fraud. He also served as an EMT, Rescue Diver and Dive Team Training Officer for a police and rescue dive team in Southwest Washington. He also taught the courses he developed for the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and the Washington State Department of Emergency Services.During his years as a PADI Instructor, he achieved the rating of Master Diver Trainer. As part of his qualifications for the rating he created courses of training in Underwater Crime Scene Investigation and Rapid Deployment Underwater Rescue (emergency service diving), for which he authored textbooks and instructor's guides.As a private investigator, he also authored a numerous training manuals on insurance fraud investigations, available through the California Investigative Academy (www.cia-online.org) and Amazon.
