Eric Tackett has had a diverse investigative background spanning more than 30 years in both the public and private sectors, having served as both a law enforcement investigator and executive director of his own private investigations firm, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Fraud Investigators' Association and the Board of Governors of the National Health Care Anti-Fraud Association. Mr. Tackett has at least as many years experience as a professional instructor and author, having authored numerous articles on the subject of highly specialized investigative techniques, which have been published in national and international magazines. In addition, Tackett has published a number of books and training manuals on investigative subject matter, including this one. Mr. Tackett has also served as the Director of Training for the California Investigative Academy and, in that capacity, has developed and implemented advanced protocol, and courses of training in specialized fields of investigation and the forensic sciences, currently in use by law enforcement agencies, insurance company special investigative units (SIU) and private investigators, throughout the United States and the world. Mr. Tackett's students include claims and SIU personnel from virtually every major carrier in California, as well as law enforcement investigators throughout the state, including the California Department of Insurance.
