The author is a former law enforcement officer and retired PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and Master Diver Trainer. He also held dive instructor ratings with NAUI and CMAS and served as Traning Officer and Dive Team Leader for the tri-County Dive Rescue Team in Southwest Washington State, the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission and Washington State Department of Emergency Services.
