Too often freshwater is viewed as a convenient means for disposing of waste; the results are there to be seen. Water pollution is still with us. Analysis of freshwater supplies frequently reveals disturbing levels of pollution, including human waste, heavy meatals and synthetic chemicals, all to the detriment of our health, and the health of the entire ecosystem.
