Chitra Soundar is an Indian-born British writer and storyteller. She is the author of over forty books for children, including Garland of Lights , illustrated by Amberin Huq, and the award-winning picture books You're Safe With Me , You're Snug With Me , and You're Strong With Me , illustrated by Poonam Mistry. Chitra has lived in more than three countries and has published in Asia, North America and Europe. As well as writing books, she is a speaker, oral storyteller and toe-dipper in writing for the small screen. She dreams of a studio in a peaceful place by the sea, but for now, she lives and works under a massive heap of paper in her London studio.
