Chitra Soundar is an Indian-born British writer and storyteller. She is the author of over 40 books for children, including the award-winning picture books You're Safe with Me and You're Snug with Me , illustrated by Poonam Mistry. Chitra has lived in more than three countries and has published in Asia, North America and Europe. As well as writing books, she is a speaker, oral storyteller and toe-dipper in writing for the small screen. Her stories are inspired by her close-knit family, her growing up in India filled with epics and folktales, play-acting and her travels around the world. Amberin Huq is an Illustration graduate from University College Falmouth. She dreams of a studio in a peaceful place by the sea, but for now, she lives and works under a massive heap of paper in her London studio. Amberin loves to create atmospheric illustrations, lively characters and has a new-found love of working in black and white.

She has illustrated books for children of all ages, including several books in the Bloomsbury Readers series.
