This book is a demonstration of how to do in-depth bible study. Not the normal type of bible study, where you read a chapter of a book a week and talk about it over tea and biscuits, but the type of study you would do if you wanted to write a commentary on the text. The best way to learn is to do. For that reason we will be using an actual book of the bible, the book of Job, as a concrete example. For the same reason "we" will go through the process together. I will explain each step as we go, you will complete the step, then compare your notes to what I got. The process requires reading the text multiple times, and at 42 chapters, that is not trivial. As I said, this type of bible study is quite different to what most Christians understand by that term; it is also the only way to really penetrate a text.
The process as applied to the book of Job begins in the second chapter; my first chapter is a general discussion on how we get understanding from the bible. Is there a right way? Is there a wrong way? What are we responsible for? What is God responsible for? Because my take on this is so fundamental to everything that follows, I have made this chapter viewable on the link, so you can see where I am coming from before you get the book. https: //prographo.wixsite.com/job-book With regards to the book of Job itself; I will say things that can be found in any orthodox commentary and things unusual, unique and controversial. Because you will be reading and dissecting the text along with me, you will come to your own conclusions, the cardinal principle - that you should see it in the text for yourself.
