Trudy Lynn (Bootsy) Silverheels was born in rural Yavapai County, Arizona, in 1986. She spent most of her childhood in Arizona and New Mexico and her teens in Mexico City. She graduated from high school and university in Mexico before returning to the United States for graduate studies. She died in 2014. In her short career, she published but three works of fiction, including this novella and two full-length novels¿Dusky Nightshade and the Little Heathens and Nuevo Biloxi (co-authored by Damien Wynter)¿and an erotic memoir, Baring All. But she left dozens of book manuscripts in various stages of completion. One of these, Coming Clean, was published posthumously in 2015. Others can be expected to follow.
