Dr. Sikandar Shaikh, DMRD, DNB, EDiR, MNAMS, FICR, graduated from The B R Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India. He is an adjunct professor at the Department of Biomedical Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology. He is a professor in the Department of Radiology at Shadan Institute of Medical Sciences, Hyderabad and adjunct faculty at the Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, India. He has many international publications and has delivered more than 126 oral and poster presentations at various international meetings. He has authored two books PET-CT in Infection and Inflammation and Advances in Imaging - A Step Towards Precision Medicine and authored several book chapters. Dr. Sikandar was the immediate past president of ASMRM and ISMRM India chapter.
He is also the Indian ambassador of the European Society of Hybrid, Molecular and Translational Imaging (ESHI), an education committee member of the World Molecular Imaging Society WMIS, an education committee member and MRI committee member of International Society of Pediatric Radiology (SPR), vice president of Indian Society of Neuroradiology (ISNR), vice chairman of Indian College of Radiology ICRI, ethics committee member at IIT Hyderabad, associate editor of JMRI (International Journal of MRI), consulting editor of Clinical Radiology, mentor European Society of Head and Neck Imaging (ESHI), joint secretary of Society of Oncoimaging India SOII, membership committee member of the European Society of Cardiovascular Imaging ESCI. He is also the reviewer of the RSNA, ISMRM, ASMRM and other meetings. He was awarded the best radiologist award in India in 2018 and 2020. He is also instrumental in conducting record daily non-stop teaching programs for the Indian College of Radiology ICRI. Dr. Sikandar is the reviewer of many international radiology journals, such as Radiology, Radiographics, Radiology Cardiothoracic Imaging, Radiology Cancer Imaging, European Radiology, American Journal of Roentgenology, Frontiers in Radiology, Frontiers in Nuclear Medicine, Indian Journal of Radiological Imaging.
