Emily Scott is a well-respected chef and restauranteur, who started her journey as a cook in France before opening her first restaurant; The Harbour Kitchen in Port Issac, Cornwall. She now runs the St Tudy Inn, a beautiful village Inn with rooms; also in Cornwall. This year she starred in BBC Two''s Great British Menu in the south-west heat and has received numerous accolades including CODE''s top 100 most influential women for two years running. Emily''s food focusses on simplicity and ''stripping back'' to three core ingredients; for her, ''less is more''. Emily and her team were awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand for 2017 which they have now retained for the fourth year in the Michelin Guide 2020. A wonderful recognition. As well as the Bib Gourmand, St Tudy Inn was ranked 24th in the Estrella Top 50 Gastropubs this year also winning the highest climber, and runner-up in the GQ Food & Drink Awards in the Best Pub category. Over the years Emily has established a well-respected fanbase, and many admire her passion, enthusiasm and determination.

As a woman in a seemingly male dominated industry, Emily has remained ''quietly consistent'' as she likes to phase it, in reaching her goals - all of which she has done for the love of cooking and gratification of making people happy through food. Her singlehanded success tracks from her early days managing the fine art of running a busy restaurant and being motherto three young children. This is her first cookbook.
